If so, our Defense Systems wants you to join the F-35 Sustainment Operating Unit as a Senior Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst. This is a fast-paced high energy environment that requires a self-motivated employee to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and abilities: thorough understanding and experience in financial reporting as a hands-on expert for financial systems and analysis; understand and communicate unique problems and recommend potential business/process solutions; plan/schedule own activities to accomplish objectives with work reviewed upon completion for adequacy; exert influence on peers, internal customers, and other to support organizational goals while prioritizing activities to effectively complete them; leadership/team skills in completing interactive assignments, lead small teams and clearly communicate thoughts and objectives.

The PCA will interface with the program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements. This position is full-time telework.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. This will include performing perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development, and analysis of estimates to complete.
  • Providing guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines, including maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
  • Support reviews as requested by programs, customers, and company management, support Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan activity, and prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations (IPRS, Dashboards, NGFP, Etc.)
  • Provide financial support for Non-Contract Technical Activity (NCTA) forecasts and budgeting.
  • The PCA may support both Domestic and International customers with different contract types.
  • Supporting program IPMDAR reporting with an integrated cost, schedule, and performance database synchronized with enterprise and program business rhythms and requirements.
  • Assisting in preparing for internal and external audits.

NGSkills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 14 years of applied experience. Will consider 10 years of experience with a bachelor's degree; Or, 8 years with a master's degree.
  • Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis.
  • Experience successfully managing and producing data with strict deadlines.
  • Strong PC skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts and ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs and control accounts.
  • Experience with COBRA, COGNOS, SAP
  • Experience in DoD setting with understanding of government Cost Accounting Standards, FAR, & DFARs.
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.
Salary Range: $99,900 - $149,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
