As a Cloud Engineer Associate, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting data scientists in developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) proof-of-concepts. You will play a crucial role in growing GDIT's AI capabilities and business opportunities.
- Support the architecture, implementation, and optimization of AWS infrastructure to support innovative AI workloads, ensuring high availability and compliance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, security teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud environments using best-practice DevSecOps methodologies.
- Drive cost optimization, security compliance, and operational excellence through automation in a small, agile team.
- Utilize AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch, ECR, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation), Linux, Bash/Python scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and more.

- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Experience: 1+ years of related experience
- Technical skills: Must have Linux OS, Bash/Python scripting, CloudFormation, networking, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes; experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, Route53, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, and VPC.
- Experience utilizing AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch, ECR, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation), Linux, Bash/Python scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and more.
- Role requirements: Motivated and willing to learn; experience working with IAM policies, and security groups; ability to document solutions and procedures using Confluence, including architecture creating diagrams using Draw.io or Visio; communication skills for collaborating with data scientists and security teams; AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate) highly desired.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee's date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
