Business Analyst

Atlas Technologies, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated Business Analyst to join our group of Information Technology professionals. The Business Analyst (BA) works as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to identify, analyze, and document business needs and process improvements. The role focuses on understanding business objectives, translating requirements into clear documentation, and supporting the delivery of effective, value-driven solutions.

This position is pending funding approval. We are posting the role in anticipation of receiving the necessary authorization. While we are actively engaging with candidates and conducting preliminary screenings, final hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and customer approval.

 You Will

  • Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions
  • Analyze current-state processes and define future-state improvements
  • Produce clear documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to support solution design and delivery
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenarios and defect triage
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value
  • Manage requirement changes and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support change management, training, and adoption activities

You Have

  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering skills
  • Experience translating business needs into functional and technical documentation
  • Ability to analyze data, processes, and systems to identify improvement opportunities
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within project or product delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working with IT systems, software development, or Power Platform solutions
  • Familiarity with process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, including user stories and backlogs
  • Understanding of data, reporting, or automation concepts
  • Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
