City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Overview: SentaraNorfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the General Intensive Care Unit - GICU. Hours: 36 per week Overview: Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Department/PositionOverview: We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for our Beacon Award winning 16 bed General Intensive Care Unit. The most common diagnosis on this unit are myocardial infarctions, life-threatening dysrhythmias, cardiac post-procedures, gastrointestinal bleeds, acute respiratory distress, vascular surgeries and general surgeries with complications. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required) or MSN (preferred)

Certification/Licensure Registered nursing License (Required)

BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience 18 months of relevant nursing experience required
