Android Tactical Assault Kit Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a TAK Developer, you will guide and develop TAK solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. We're looking for a developer with the skills needed to build full life cycle process-oriented software and provide integration support using Agile or iterative methodologies to support the design, development, and implementation of the military's TAK and ATAK architecture.
This role is more than just coding. As a TAK developer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:
Experience in software programming with object-oriented languages, including Java and Python
Experience with developing native Android applications
Experience with development in the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software development kit
Experience with the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem
Experience with profiling UI, memory, and concurrency on Android
Experience with on-device database management using SQLite
Ability to obtain a security clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Android distributions and software developmental kits
Experience with mobile technologies, including cellular and wireless
Experience with Kotlin
Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
