Industrial Painter/Loader

Shift: Monday-Friday (3:30pm to 11pm) 

Pay: $20-23/hr.

Description:

• The Painter/Load is mainly responsible for painting and preparing structural steel and assisting with loading and unloading steel using overhead cranes.

Requirements:

• Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint
• Must have experience with overhead crane
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
• Works in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
  
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• Overhead Crane experience preferably in a steel shop
• Capable of moving large 30 ft pieces of steel in and out of the shop with an overhead crane into backs of loading trucks
• Experienced with AISC standards and can use paint gauges and knows how to fill out painting forms and reports
• Basic math skills are required
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties:

• Prep and paint structural steel
• Move steel with an overhead crane
• Operate forklift as needed
• Perform rigging work to move materials as requires
• Load and unload steel from trucks
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop
