Cost Accounting Lead
Operations Finance Manager Your role and responsibilities: As the Cost Accounting Lead, you will have the opportunity to collect and analyze financial metrics. Each day, you will identify trends and problems and communicate information to relevant groups. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending actions to improve financial performance of the specific factory/manufacturing site. This is an on-site position based in Richmond, VAbut will consider hybrid for the right candidate. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the United States. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cost accounting activities including creation of standards, allocations, analysis, and ensure accuracy of BOM and routings as it relates to finished goods
- Ensure accuracy of inventory & logistics by enforcing policies & procedures, monitoring adjustments and develop corrective action(s) for exceptions
- Generate reporting for plan vs actual for costs, hours, production targets, etc.
- Prepares financial modelling for various hypotheses and assesses impact to factory with special focus on product / business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis / inventory analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related is required.
- 8+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting with 3+ years of experience in cost accounting
- Experience with SAP is required. Strong preference for candidates with Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) Modules.
- Strong capability to collaborate with operations, warehouse, logistics & other functions
- Microsoft Excel skills, including modeling
- English language skill and proficiency
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
