At Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE) , our mission is to help children with autism gain confidence, independence, and essential life skills through best-in-class Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We’re seeking an experienced Associate Clinical Director (BCBA) to support clinical leadership at our Richmond, VA clinic. This role blends direct clinical care with leadership responsibilities, staff mentorship, quality oversight, and partnership with our Clinical Director and regional leadership team.

Position Details

• Location: Richmond, VA (clinic-based)
  
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, consistent daytime hours
  
• Employment Type: Full-time, in-person
  
• Reports To: Clinical Director / Regional Director of Clinical Operations
  
• Compensation: $110,000–$140,000/year (base salary + performance-based bonus potential)
  

What You’ll Do

• Provide leadership, coaching, and clinical oversight to BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs
  
• Support onboarding, training, and performance development for clinical team members
  
• Conduct and review assessments, behavior plans, and treatment plans as needed
  
• Ensure treatment integrity, clinical quality, and adherence to AutismCOE standards
  
• Review treatment data to support clinical decision-making and measurable client progress
  
• Collaborate with Clinical Directors and regional leadership on clinical operations and quality initiatives
  
• Build strong clinician–family partnerships through clear communication and support
  
• Assist with caseload distribution, coverage planning, and productivity expectations
  

Who You Are

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
  
• Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Virginia or eligible prior to start
  
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a BCBA, including supervisory or leadership experience
  
• Strong communicator with a coaching mindset and commitment to high-quality care
  
• Able to balance clinical responsibilities with team support, leadership tasks, and collaboration
  
• Passionate about elevating clinical quality and mentoring developing clinicians

Requirements

• At least 3 years of BCBA experience is required
  
• BCBA Certification: Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis, per BACB guidelines
  
• Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
  
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities
  
• Passionate about clinical quality and client progress to drive decision-making and best practices
  
• Exceptional skillset with leadership, time management, and observation
