Legal Assistant A midsize law firm based in Northern Virginia is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented legal administrative professional with extensive experience in office management, document preparation, and organizational support. location: Vienna, Virginia

experience: 2 Years responsibilities:
- Responsible for drafting documents, transcription, formatting, e-filing, coordinating service of process, calendaring, and trial preparation.
- Assisted attorneys by proof-reading, formatting and preparing discovery documents, pleadings, subpoenas, motions and status letters.
- Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and attorneys.
- Maintain and update case record system.
- Answer phone calls, take notes, and redirect calls when appropriate.
- Keep multiple agendas and provide timely reminders.
- Input expense reimbursement and check requests.
- Support legal research by communicating with vendors, experts, opposing counsel, and other staff.
- Assist with trial preparation and briefs.
- Index and update pleading and discovery binders.
- Make travel arrangements.
- Schedule client and attorneys appointments.
qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years recent legal experience within a law firm.
- Proficiency in typing (65+ wpm).
- Familiarity with state and federal rules and procedures.
- Solid understanding of technical legal terminology and court filings.
- Experience with trial preparation and briefs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and accuracy.
