Team Lead - Tidewater Drive Business Services

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Assists in the development, implementation, and review of individualized service plans to improve and enhance social and vocational skills, including weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly evaluations of all plans, and completing performance evaluations
- Communicates and collaborates internally with the Supervisor of Business Services and others as needed for the purpose of developing and implementing individual employee training plans, coordinating programming, and/or disseminating information
- Complete, timely, and accurate documentation of training and work activities in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Hand fold, sort, and stuff paper or other products
- Weigh and count materials
- Assemble boxes or bags using string, glue, or tape
- Support the Cox Accessory Recovery Program by cleaning, refurbishing, and/or repairing remotes and sorting and rewrapping cables
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and workshops as required to maintain valid certification in CPR, first aid, behavior management, and crisis intervention
- Other duties as assigned
- No travel required

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:
The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:
- High school diploma, GED, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- Experience in business production preferred
- General knowledge of a broad range of disabilities, including developmental disabilities, substance abuse, mental health, and physical or sensory disabilities, and best practices to support employment of individuals with disabilities
- Ability to conduct 1-on-1 or group training
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships Clearance through criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening is required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee:
- Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form
- Must be able to lift/move15-58pounds and withstand prolonged hours of standing and walking
- Must be able to bend through a full range of motion, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an office or indoor setting, or externally in community settings. Indoor environmental conditions will vary according to the weather conditions prevalent at the time, and exposure to inclement weather and extreme temperature variations can be expected when in community settings. The noise level in the work environment will vary. While working with individuals with mental/physical disabilities, exposure to physical risks from behaviorally challenged individuals and contact exposure to human pathogens and/or biohazards is possible
