Physical Therapist – Outpatient Travel Opportunity in Lexington, Virginia
Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a travel contract in Lexington, VA (zip code 24450). - Start Date: October 6, 2025
- End Date: January 5, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (40 hours/week)
- Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
- Weekend Coverage: Once per month (acute care setting)
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Daily Census: 9–10 patients; 4–5 evaluations and treatments per day
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250–$2310
- Active Virginia Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to apply)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
- Prior travel physical therapist experience required
- Epic EMR charting experience preferred
- Ability to work at least one holiday during assignment (two holidays during winter holidays)
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments in an outpatient clinic
- Provide monthly weekend coverage in the acute care setting
- Develop individualized care plans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care using Epic EMR
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
