Industrial Security Policy Subject Matter Expert
The Maven Group's client is seeking an Industrial Security Policy SME to support the Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement & Security (CL&S) Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) at the Pentagon. Position Overview
As the Industrial Security Policy SME, you will provide expertise on national security concerns, particularly those related to proposed transactions submitted to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). You'll develop, review, and coordinate industrial security policies while addressing defense industrial base security issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Development & Review : Support the creation and analysis of recommendations for national security policies, focusing on industrial security directives and ensuring policy alignment with DoD.
- CFIUS Support : Assist OUSD(I&S) with recommendations on CFIUS-related security matters and attend meetings five times per week.
- Engagement : Participate in key working groups, including the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC), to address security concerns.
- Communication : Draft letters and memos on national-level security issues, providing policy documentation and guidance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Clearance : Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance eligibility.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Experience :
- 10 years with DoD and national industrial security policies.
- 5 years addressing national-level industrial security issues.
- 3 years drafting policy documents and supporting key working groups like NISPPAC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification : Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency.
- Proven ability to handle complex staff actions and policy development within the DoD.
