Job Description

As a Jail Officer, your primary mission is the care, custody, and security of inmates. You will play a vital role in public safety by maintaining a secure and orderly environment within the facility.

What We Are Looking For

• Integrity: You must pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Age: 18 years of age or older.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• License: Valid Virginia driver’s license.

No experience? No problem. If you aren't already certified, we will provide and pay for your basic jailor training through the VA Department of Criminal Justice Services (to be completed within your first 12 months).

Salary & Career Path

• Starting Salary: $47,721
• Year 1 Increase: $49,897 (after successful completion of your first year)
• Status: Open Until Filled
