HW Infrastructure Administrator
Government Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an HW Infrastructure Administrator within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The HW Infrastructure Administrator maintains and supports physical servers, storage, networks, and other computing systems to ensure their reliable operation and performance. Key responsibilities include installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system performance, performing regular maintenance like patching and upgrades, troubleshooting complex issues, managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, and documenting infrastructure. They also collaborate with other IT teams on projects, manage security, and provide end-user support for hardware-related problems.

• System Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical servers, storage devices, and other hardware components.
• Performance Monitoring: Use diagnostic tools to monitor system health and performance, review logs, and resolve issues before they impact users.
• Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular maintenance, including patching and firmware upgrades, to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, escalating to senior staff when necessary.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions and ensure readiness for disaster recovery scenarios.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for the infrastructure, including configuration details, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and asset inventories Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Journeyman:
• Education and/or Experience: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux environments.
• Hardware: Knowledge of servers, storage arrays, network switches, and telecommunication systems.
• Networking: Understanding of network infrastructure, including routers and switches.
• Virtualization: Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware is often required.
• Backup Software: Experience with backup and recovery tools like Commvault.
• Automation Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Ansible for automating tasks and provisioning.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services and platforms such as Azure or AWS may be required.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with other IT teams on projects and system upgrades.
• Customer Support: Provide effective support to users, managing requests and ensuring their hardware needs are met. Senior:
• Education and/or Experience: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200000.00.
