• Shift / Hours: First Shift (Eastern) — Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m.–12 p.m.; Saturday 7 a.m.–10 a.m.

Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the organization to patients, providing quality specimen collection and service excellence. This role requires skillful and accurate blood draws , adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols, and a commitment to exceptional patient care . The PSR II may support various locations including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, and other designated sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe, professional, and organized environment.

• Execute both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established practices.

• Verify patient demographics, labeling, and post-venipuncture signatures to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain all required records and documentation.

• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

• At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

• Keyboard/data entry experience required.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.

• Leadership behaviors and process excellence focus.

• Experience as a trainer or working at a training location.

Required Skills:

• Excellent phlebotomy technique (pediatric & geriatric).

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Customer service excellence and communication.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean record.

Additional Skills:

• Handling multiple priorities in high-volume settings.

• Promoting confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism.

• Demonstrating superior customer focus and adaptability.

Justification for Temp:
Due to high patient volume and training needs, this site requires additional staffing to remain open during lunch hours. The additional 0.5 FTE ensures continuous service, improves workflow, and enhances patient satisfaction and performance metrics.
