**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
The Assembly Technician is responsible for the mechanical assembly of natural gas fuel systems in various production areas, utilizing a hands-on approach with various materials, parts, and sub-assemblies. The role requires the use of tooling and equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Apply in-depth understanding of the flow of material, parts, and assemblies through the manufacturing and assembly process.
+ Read work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations and material needed for assembly.
+ Assemble sub-assemblies, structural parts, and plumbing for fuel systems.
+ Follow all required steps in the assembly standard work process.
+ Inspect all components for consistency and critical fits during the assembly process.
+ Ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final quality control inspection.
+ Operate, clean, and maintain different pieces of tooling and equipment.
+ Complete handwritten and electronic documentation for assembly operations to ensure compliance with all internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
+ Support and execute Lean assembly activities.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with metal, sub-assembly, mechanical assembly, hand tools, and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production schedules.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Computer skills and familiarity with ERP business systems software.
+ Must obtain Texas Railroad Commission certification for CNG service and installation within 45 days of hire.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Manufacturing experience in a related industry is preferred.
+ Proficiency in the assigned function on the assembly line.
+ Current and valid driver's license with an insurable driving record if driving is required.

**Work Environment**
The position involves working in a non-climate controlled facility with 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime on Friday. There is a half-hour lunch break and a mid-morning break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, TX.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
