Carilion Clinic is seeking a Hospitalist to join our team at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, located in the scenic New River Valley of Virginia (Christiansburg/Blacksburg/Radford). Enjoy extensive specialty support from ID, Cardiology, Surgery, Vascular, Geriatrics, GI, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, IR add all others. CNRV anchors a medical/surgical complex that includes a 146-bed hospital with more than 50 specialty physicians and services, such as a Heart and Vascular Center, The Birthplace and a Level III trauma center.

Practice Highlights:

• 7 on 7 off flexible scheduling; 182 shifts annually

• 10 hour in house call.

• Average patient load of 13- 16 with established backup plans including upstaffing with census surge.

• Extensive Specialty support -ID, Cardiology, Surgery, Vascular, Geriatrics, GI, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, IR, Palliative, Urology, Oncology, Pulmonary and Rheumatology

• Physician designed geographic rounding with an admitter

• Swing admitters from 2pm

• Dedicated nocturnist

• Open ICU staffed by in house intensivists 7 AM - 7 PM with on call coverage and critical care fellow coverage at night

• EMR ( EPIC)
• Opportunity to moonlight at other Carilion hospitals

• Nocturnist opportunity with additional incentives

• Teaching opportunities with Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
