Who is VMRC?
VMRC is a Christ-centered, nonprofit continuing care retirement community offering independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care for older adults. It also provides wellness programs, educational opportunities, and arts and cultural activities for residents and the wider community.
This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the building and equipment in Crestwood, our Assisted living facility at VMRC in a safe and efficient manner.
Work Schedule
7:300 AM-4:00 PM, Monday-Friday (start time may be flexible, based upon selected candidate's preference and with supervisor's approval)
On-call rotation for evenings/weekends (typical rotation is 1 week out of every 9 weeks)
80 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)
Eligible for benefits at date of hire
Based upon previous experiences and qualifications, the starting base rate of pay is $16.26 - $20.78 per hour.

Requirements
As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.
VMRC is a drug-free community - we have and will continue to comply with all federal and state laws. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug screen during the pre-employment screening process.
Three years' experience in the maintenance field is preferred.
Must have a current Driver's License with acceptable DMV driving record to obtain authorization on VMRC's Approved Drivers List.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments in the English language.
Ability to perform the duties listed in the job description with limited supervision; self-motivated.
Ability to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes.
Pleasant personality, enjoy working with people, and ability to deal tactfully with others.
Strong work ethic; fast learner; ability to work quickly and carefully in a safe manner, and motivate others to do the same.
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, lift, carry or handle light weight (1-25 lbs.) materials or equipment frequently.
Must be able to safely operate all power equipment throughout the VMRC campus.
Must report to work in uniform.
