VFX Artist

The Nova Lab is excited to announce an opening for a VFX Artist to join our innovative team. This full-time remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to cutting-edge visual effects in the thriving Information Technology industry. Located in Fairfax, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and creativity.
As a VFX Artist, you will have the opportunity to create stunning visual effects for a variety of projects, helping to elevate our digital content to new heights. You will collaborate with a passionate team of creators and technologists to deliver impactful visual experiences that resonate with our audience. We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $180,000 annually and a culture that fosters creativity and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality visual effects for various projects
- Collaborate with other artists and team members to achieve project goals
- Develop and implement VFX techniques for animation and live-action
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
- Maintain a clean and organized workflow while meeting deadlines
- Stay updated with industry trends and VFX tools
- Optimize visual effects for different platforms and devices
- Feedback and iterate on VFX to meet project requirements
Requirements
- Entry-level position; relevant experience or education in VFX is a plus
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Maya)
- Basic understanding of animation principles and visual storytelling
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in design
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Portfolio showcasing previous VFX or animation work
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus
