Food Runner

Position Overview:
We are seeking detail-oriented and energetic Food Runners to act as the critical link between our kitchen and dining room. In this role, you ensure that every dish is delivered accurately, promptly, and with presentation standards that reflect our upscale casual New American concept. Food Runners play a key role in maintaining the pace of service while enhancing the overall guest experience through professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring proper table and seat placement
• Describe dishes as they are presented, including key ingredients and preparation when appropriate
• Verify each plate meets presentation and quality standards before leaving the kitchen
• Assist in coordinating timing so all guests at a table are served simultaneously
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and management to maintain smooth service flow
• Support servers by running condiments, utensils, or additional items as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line, service stations, and dining areas
• Assist with clearing plates when appropriate to support table turnover and guest comfort
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness protocols

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant experience preferred, especially in a high-volume or upscale environment
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Basic knowledge of food and restaurant service standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
