- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Surgical Tech Contract)
- Facility Setting: Hospital Operating Room
- Start Date: October 6, 2025
- End Date: January 5, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), plus call, rotating weekends and holidays
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1730
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital operating room
- Proficient in general, orthopedic (total joints), and neuro surgical procedures
- Experience with big belly, craniotomy, and orthopedic trauma cases highly preferred
- Robotic surgery training strongly preferred
- Certification required: NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech certification accepted
- Active Virginia state license or eligibility for 90-day authorization while obtaining VA license
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Assist surgeons and operating room staff during surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields, instruments, and supplies
- Support a wide range of surgical cases: general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgeries
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Follow hospital protocols and compliance standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
