Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer with a bachelor’s degree or higher and 10+ years of experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with DoW customers and stakeholders throughout system lifecycle in development, integration & test, deployment, and operations of a highly sophisticated ground system architecture.
• Help build mission-critical, highly available, high-performance networked systems in a team-oriented environment. Build and deploy cloud instances and applications utilizing automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Develop systems engineering-related documentation to include operational concept, requirements, specifications, interface control documents, and validation & verification plans.
• Conduct system planning and design for expansion of these resources to meet program needs.
• Support ground system related trade studies.
• Providing a private cloud infrastructure for a DoW customer.
• Provide the infrastructure needed to support virtualized operating systems and containerized applications for tactical and operational systems.

Qualifications

• An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain or maintain a polygraph, if required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR a Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field.
• Experience working with Windows-based operating systems, scripting languages for task automation, and system configuration automation software (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting playbooks for system configuration and system sustainment activities. Experience in system integration and testing, and system configuration of networked services, file systems, and authentication experience.
• Operating System administration skills (preferable RHEL 9.x and above) to include building systems up from bare metal, performing software package installation, operating system and application troubleshooting, and implementing security hardening such as certificates and authentication settings.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, or Python for task automation such as package installation and configuration across an array of physical and/or virtual hosts.
• Experience with distributed computing technologies.
• Experience with virtualization/cloud-based technologies (e.g. OpenStack, Citrix XenServer Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, and/or VMWare), Docker Containers, Ansible, and Heat templates.
• Experience with host/application integrations into an IDAM system, including deploying PKI infrastructure and troubleshooting PKI related issues
• Experience with front end processing and network gateway appliances and /or software.

Desired Skills

• You have experience in designing, developing, and integrating a complete satellite ground system to include infrastructure, processing frameworks, and software components.
• You have familiarity with any or all of the following, preferably in a satellite ground system context: Object-oriented development practices and processes, open architecture systems, distributed computing technologies, web services, SOA, networking technologies, requirements management tools, scripting, automated test tools, modeling and simulation, and/or security certification and accreditation processes.
• Experience deploying, configuring, managing PostgreSQL, MFAs, Splunk, and Sensu
• Ability to express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with management, the customer and tenants across DoW.
• Detail/ process oriented, can multi-task, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $160,000-$230,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
