Parts Runner
Job Title: Parts Runner
Overview:
The Parts Runner is responsible for the timely delivery and retrieval of parts, materials, and supplies to and from various job sites, suppliers, and customers. This position ensures that the necessary components are available to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Transport parts, materials, and supplies between the company, suppliers, and job sites. Ensure accurate and timely delivery and retrieval of items.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by recording deliveries and pickups. Help with inventory organization and restocking.
- Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. Report any issues or required maintenance to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including obtaining necessary signatures and completing delivery logs.
- Interact professionally with suppliers, customers, and team members. Address any questions or concerns regarding deliveries and pickups.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while handling and transporting parts and materials.
- Provide support to other team members as needed, which may include helping with general shop duties, organizing parts, or other related tasks.
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Familiarity with automotive, or diesel truck parts is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy parts and materials (up to 50 lbs.).
- Prolonged periods of driving and standing.
- Capable to work in various weather conditions.
