Student Worker - Registered Dietitian Assistant - Univ. of Virginia-Admin

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Worker to assist our Registered Dietitian. This is an excellent opportunity for a student passionate about nutrition, health, and wellness to gain hands-on experience in a campus-dining environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our team and providing valuable resources to the UVA student community.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Dietitian with nutrition analysis and creation of nutrition labels for UVA Dine retail locations.

• Conduct research on current nutrition trends, dietary guidelines, and food allergies to support educational content and programs.

• Help create and design engaging nutritional content for a variety of platforms, including social media, flyers, and our website.

• Participate in and provide support for nutrition-focused events, workshops, and tabling sessions on campus.

• Maintain and organize the Registered Dietitian's resource library and database of nutritional information.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student at the University of Virginia.

• Demonstrated interest in nutrition, dietetics, public health, or a related field of study.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
