We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team and oversee all aspects of purchasing, shipping, and receiving as we transition from a long-tenured employee’s retirement.

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations across the supply chain. This individual will manage the procurement of materials, oversee shipping and receiving activities, and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies. The ideal candidate will bring industry experience from construction, government contracting, or a related field and be able to step into this critical role with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Manage the purchasing process, including vendor selection, price negotiation, and purchase orders.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to support ongoing projects and minimize shortages.

• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to forecast material needs.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and contractual requirements.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.

• Implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.

• Provide regular reporting on supply chain performance, costs, and potential risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• 5+ years of supply chain, logistics, or purchasing experience; construction or government contracting background strongly preferred.

• Proven success in managing shipping, receiving, and procurement functions.

• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
