Description:- Interprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawings
- Cleans, bevels, prepares and installs pipe with various fittings and weld joints
- Performs layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings
- Installs pipe and related materials and equipment
- Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions
- Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
- Cuts pipe using, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
- Threads pipe using threading machine
- Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools
- Tests piping systems
- Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies
- Assists in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation
- Maintains tools and equipment
- Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Performs other duties as assigned
