SUMMARY:
Works with the Records Coordinator in the Corporate Department. The primary function is to prepare and scan documents for offsite archive storage. Additional responsibilities related to recordkeeping and management of the filing system may be assigned.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
-- Scanning and uploading files to create digital copies of physical records.
-- Performing data entry tasks.
-- Updating existing records.
-- Maintaining company archives.
-- Retrieving information from the filing system when requested.
-- Processing and filing copies of incoming and outgoing physical correspondence.
-- Conducting routine verification to ensure integrity of the filing system.
-- Completes special projects with others and/or independently, as assigned.
Knowledge of:
-- General office practices, procedures, and equipment.
-- Office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, telephones, copiers, and scanners.
-- Alpha, numeric, and case filing systems.
Skill in:
-- Basic typing.
-- Organization and time management.
-- Basic English and arithmetic to include, but not limited to, spelling, punctuation, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
-- Reading, comprehension, proofreading, and editing.
Ability to:
-- Work within time constraints, meet fixed deadlines, and demonstrate good organizational skills.
-- Follow procedures, verbal and written instructions, and protocols for any given assignment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-- High school diploma (or GED equivalent).
-- One (1) year of work experience in records/file maintenance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
