Open Rank Clinical Faculty, Medical Dermatology (Charlottesville)

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a full-time or part-time, tenure-track or non-tenure-track, open rank Professor of Dermatology specializing in Medical Dermatology and/or Dermatopathology. The Department sees approximately 28,000 visits annually at its main campus and is looking for a faculty member to complement our team of clinicians. A commitment to teaching, clinical excellence, and academic scholarship is essential. Duties include teaching residents and medical students, direct patient care, and participation in scholarly activities.

The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South. Its mission is to improve health and quality of life through excellent, compassionate care; to advance dermatological science; and to foster professional development in the field.

Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology, with a dermatopathology fellowship preferred. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Virginia. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.
