Position Title: Material Coordinator

Job Location: Yorktown Naval Weapons Station (Cheatham Annex) Williamsburg, VA

Summary:

Our company is searching for a Warehouse Specialist to join our small team as a contractor for the US Navy. We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual who can withstand uncontrolled temperatures, both hot and cold. A good candidate will be someone who can pay close attention to detail, follows directions, able to double-check his/her work, work well in a group setting or alone, possesses strong communication, thinking and organizational skills. Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Provide personnel and support to ensure the timely delivery of designated SE for Initial Outfitting / Site Activation / Temp Loan purposes.
  • Support the Support Equipment Weapon System Manager by scheduling/managing deliveries of SE to the fleet utilizing the authorized Government SE management database.
  • Support program Ship Activation personnel in the planning for and preparation of ship activation SE requirements lists, shipping schedules and discrepancy lists.
  • Coordinates, arranges and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies for authorized transactions, and fleet support. Loads / unloads trucks for shipping and receiving material.
  • Provide materiel coordination support by opening every box, crate, container, and package received at the facility and conducting visual inspections of the nameplate for correctness / incorporation of part number, cage, serial number, barcode, status code, calibration date, and completeness of asset that all piece parts are with it, noting and reporting discrepancies if they are found. Additionally, assets require barcode assignment if not present and should be checked for required certificates and maintenance records. If certificates or records are not present discrepancy should be noted and reported. (Will utilize UID barcode information when required).
  • Conduct wall to wall inventories, providing feedback and results to SECA and the Deputy Assistant Program Manager. All discrepancies are discussed and actions for resolving the discrepancies are resolved following the proper procedures. Attend meetings as required.
  • Operates heavy machinery such as forklifts (standup, inner aisle, 6K, 14K, 15K), pallet jacks, air compressors, fuel bowsers, and utilizes tools of various capacity to perform work responsibilities. Responsible for periodic maintenance and equipment run-up of various types of equipment and support equipment.

Qualifications/Skills:

-High School Diploma/GED

-Valid Driver’s License

-Current forklift certification a plus

-Previous warehouse experience preferred

-Ability to work alone or with others

-Ability to lift 50 pounds

-Good organizational skills

-Great communication skills

-Problem Solver

-Some knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Access a plus

Requirements:

  • You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • Successful Completion of pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appoint or fail to pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
