Job Opportunity: Sheetmetal Mechanic

Location: Newport News, VA

Pay: $20.66–$27.31/hr (Local) | $20.66–$27.31/hr and $145 Per Day Worked for Per Diem (Non-Local)

Schedule: Full-Time, Contract | 40 hrs/week

About the Role

Fabricate and install HVAC/ducting and light-gauge assemblies aboard ship.

Key Responsibilities

- Layout, cut, form, and assemble sheetmetal per prints.

- Install ducting, transitions, and foundations; seal as spec’d.

- Use brakes, shears, punches; maintain fit/finish.

Requirements

- 3+ years sheetmetal experience (marine preferred).

- Blueprint reading; hand/power tool proficiency.

- HS diploma/GED; background & drug screening.
