RSG is growing here in Charlottesville, and we are looking to add an Account Manager to our amazing staff. In this position you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building relationships for customer satisfaction, customer retention and upsells. Work closely with the Operations Manager to deliver high quality service to our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives and responds to internal and external customer service needs within 24 hours of receipt; ensures appropriate completion and closure.
- Sets example for other employees to follow in regards to technical work, work ethic, adherence to policies, etc.
- Enforces safety policies and procedures. Recommends disciplinary action and consults with Branch Manager and/or Safety Director.
- Enforces operational and human resources policy. Recommends disciplinary action and consults with Branch Manager and/or Human Resources Manager
- Provide day to day support to Branch Manager or other managers as needed
- Serve as a Point of Contact for projects as they are assigned
- Resolve customer issues and/or recommend modification to products/services
- Maintain contact with current clients as assigned as well as propose additional upsells to clients.
- Be detailed oriented
- Have excellent communication/organizational skills
- Have a valid & clean driver’s license
- Able to communicate in Spanish is a plus, but not necessary
- Advises Branch Manager and other management representatives
- Participates in the employee interview and selection process
- Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation thoroughly, accurately and within defined time periods
- Consults with Crew Leaders regarding blueprints, maps and manuals involved in performing work
- Performs assigned duties in response to emergencies such as snow removal, storms, etc.
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Education or Experience
Associate’s Degree in a relevant field of study and three years progressively increasing supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as volume, area, circumference, measurements, proportions and pressures.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Interpersonal Skills
Solid interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills, for work with customers, other trades personnel and employees.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
- Possession and retention of a valid Virginia Driver's License.
- Certification as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator.
- Certifications necessary for specific work unit, such as flagger, forklift operator, chemical applications, and/or first aid and CPR certificates, as applicable.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds, depending on the needs of the specific work unit.
