We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Cloud Developer to join our innovative and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be instrumental in integrating security practices throughout our software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and beyond. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing secure cloud infrastructure, automating security controls, and ensuring the integrity and resilience of our systems.

What You'll Do:

• Be a hands-on coder: Write, test, and deploy clean, efficient, and secure code to automate security processes, integrate tools, and build custom solutions.
• Implement secure AWS environments: Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services, adhering to best practices and security principles.
• Drive Automation: Automate security testing, vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and incident response workflows within our CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Security Controls: Integrate and manage security tools and controls (e.g., WAF, IAM, security groups, guardrails) directly into our infrastructure and application deployments.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Proactively identify and resolve security incidents, performance bottlenecks, and operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and best practices in DevSecOps and cloud security.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• Active DHS Public Trust Clearance with ability and willingness to process for Top Secret clearance
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in development, DevOps, or DevSecOps role.
• Hands-on experience with cloud automation, including scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and utilizing cloud-native automation tools.
• Experience authoring and implementing security parameters and configurations in cloud environments or application code.
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and experience working with Git-based version control systems (e.g., GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Direct experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including basic understanding of services like EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and security groups.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and rapidly expand your expertise in DevSecOps and cloud security.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desired Skills:

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Assoc)
• Experience with IaC tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Ability to discuss CI/CD pipelines and concerns around operating them securely.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub presence.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and work days are Monday through Friday. Specific work hours are established with Team Lead. Work location may vary, including onsite requirements which are outlined in the requirements and confirmed with Team Lead.
