Engineer III
- Works with Systems Analysts to create and implement technical requirements.
- Supports existing applications as well as new solution development.
- Actively participates in Agile sprint estimation, planning, and execution.
- Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
- Ensures unit testing is completed for all new development activities.
- Responsible for some on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.
- Maintains technical development environment.
- Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.
- Facilitates group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.
- Supports vendor evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in any occupation with engineering or related experience.
- Four (4) years of experience in any occupation with engineering or related experience must include:
- Multi-platform experience;
- Experience with business and technical applications involving Java/J2EE software development technologies, Java programming language, Drools, Hibernate, Spring, JSP,AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, JavaBeans, Servlets, Web Services and JDBC;
- Rational toolset, including RSA, Clear Case and Clear Quest version control tools to analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements; and
- Experience working with SQL and DB2.
