Your mission

Serve as a Quality Technician 1 on our 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am with additional overtime as needed per business need) , owning testing, documentation, and the retain program for raw materials, in‑process checks, and finished goods.

• Apply approved analytical methods—titrations and wet chemistry—to deliver precise, on‑time results.
• Verify materials against physical/chemical specifications and drawings/specs and flag deviations immediately.
• Document findings and recommendations in notebooks, spreadsheets, and quality systems; communicate out‑of‑spec conditions to production and quality leaders.
• Oversee the Quality Retain / First Sample Retention Program, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and disposition.
• Keep the lab audit‑ready: clean workspace, stocked reagents, and orderly records.
• Complete routine instrument checks and basic calibrations (balances, pH meters, titrators) with full documentation.
• Contribute to internal investigations and basic root‑cause analysis; compile data supporting corrective actions.
• Audit in‑process inspections on the floor for adherence to test methods and specifications; assist with defect resolution and escalate quality events.
• Maintain a safe environment by following all lab and plant safety programs and PPE guidelines.

What sets you up for success

• High school diploma or GED (required); Associate’s degree or chemistry coursework (strong plus).
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or chemical lab/QA role.
• Ability to interpret SOPs, product specs, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data capture, trending, and reporting.
• Impeccable documentation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tests in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort working around chemicals with PPE; able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
