Job Title: Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and flux core welding on carbon steel according to specifications and blueprints.
• Prepare aluminum parts for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, including wire feeders, gas regulators, and welding guns.
• Select appropriate welding parameters (wire type, gas type, voltage, amperage) for different aluminum alloys and thicknesses.
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Follow instructions and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent welding.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Experience with carbon steel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding equipment setup and operation.
• Understanding of welding parameters for various aluminum alloys and thicknesses

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
