Position Overview – Fire Alarm Installer:
The Fire Alarm Installer will primarily support new system installations with additional duties including minor troubleshooting, device replacement, and periodic inspection support . Ideal candidates have solid field installation experience and are comfortable working independently or alongside a service technician or foreman.

Responsibilities:

  • Install fire alarm systems: wire pulls, conduit, device mounting, terminations, and control panel setup

  • Assist with system programming, testing, and final commissioning

  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and job specs

  • Support light service work: troubleshooting wiring issues, replacing devices, and responding to minor service calls

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer instructions

  • Communicate clearly with team leads, project managers, and customers

  • Document work completed and maintain accurate jobsite records

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications:

  • 2+ year of experience in fire alarm or low voltage system installation

  • Some experience with system troubleshooting or small service calls preferred

  • Familiarity with NFPA 72 and general fire alarm codes is a plus

  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to lift 70+ lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and in various environments

  • NICET certification or state license a plus (but not required at hire)
