Equine Veterinary Fellow
Virginia Equine Imaging (VEI) is pleased to offer a Sports Medicine and Imaging Fellowship designed for motivated veterinarians seeking advanced, hands-on training in equine lameness, performance evaluation, and diagnostic imaging.
This intensive fellowship provides comprehensive exposure to equine sports medicine diagnostics, treatment strategies, and advanced imaging modalities , preparing fellows for excellence in clinical practice or academic careers.
Fellowship Training Includes:
- Advanced equine sports medicine clinical exams, diagnostics and treatments
- Extensive hands-on experience with advanced imaging , including:
- Nuclear scintigraphy
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Case-based learning focused on performance horses across disciplines
Unique Educational Opportunity:
Fellows will receive one-on-one wet lab training with Dr. Kent Allen , Founder of Virginia Equine Imaging and Co-Founder of the International Society of Equine Locomotive Practitioners (ISELP) .
This exclusive training will cover each of the ISELP modules , offering an unparalleled opportunity to develop advanced diagnostic and procedural skills under direct mentorship.
