Membership Services Coordinator
The American Sportfishing Association (ASA), a D.C. Metro area trade association representing sportfishing manufacturers, retailers and stakeholders, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented entry-level Membership Services Coordinator to join our team.
The Coordinator should be a highly organized, enthusiastic, and proactive team player to serve as support for the Membership Services teams. This cross-functional role supports member engagement, event logistics, and sponsorship fulfillment—ensuring smooth coordination, timely outreach, and a top-tier experience for our members and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Engagement & Customer Service
- Coordinate outreach efforts between Communications and Membership teams to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
- Manage ASA’s member service initiatives, including tracking inquiries and ensuring timely responses.
- Support targeted engagement campaigns, surveys, and renewal efforts.
- Update IMIS database to ensure that membership contact information is correct. Work with staff to help build a plan to increase IMIS usage across both departments.
Event Support & Promotion
- Coordinate internal logistics, timelines, and cross-departmental activities for all ASA-hosted events including vendor coordination, registration, housing, sponsorship fulfillment, and on-site operations ensuring seamless, successful events that advance ASA’s goals and enhance our member & attendee experience.

- Keep America Fishing Fly-In
- Assist the ICAST team with attendee registration management by reviewing and approving attendee registrations March – June.
- Maintain detailed event timelines, production schedules, and task lists.
- Support internal staff events, meetings, and special functions.
Marketing & Communications
· Work with the communications department to draft content for newsletters, marketing emails, and website updates.
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and content pipelines across both departments.
- Manage the ordering of all merchandise needs for each department.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with platforms like MailChimp, Canva, IMIS, and major social media tools is a plus.
- A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field.
· A team player who enjoys coordinating across departments
· Energetic, professional, and excited to contribute to ASA’s mission.
The ability to travel for work events is required.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit content.
· Proficient in using social media platforms for business purposes.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
· Knowledge of the sportfishing industry is a plus but not required.
· Willingness to travel for annual meetings.
· Ability to start before July 1.
This position is full time and includes benefits such as health insurance, a 401(k), paid vacation and sick leave and free parking.
