We are seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Assistant to support our cash receipt processes and provide regular feedback to transform and modernize the accounts receivable function. This position will support the implementation of efficient systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions. Moreover, this role will actively contribute to the enhancement of financial controls by conducting regular analysis and implementing proactive measures to optimize processes. Your contributions will have a direct impact on this new optimal state of accounts receivable.

What you will be responsible for :
- Process transactions and payments within various accounting systems.
- Capture remote deposits of live checks and process lockbox and electronic deposits.
- Develop and document improvements for policies, procedures, and processes.
- Monitor accounts receivable inbox and phone queue.
- Provide support to program areas within the college.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and complex issues with receipts.
- Maintain tracking systems.
- Reconciles accounting ledgers with various systems.
- Support monthly closing and producing applicable reports.
- Create schedules and reports to support interim and annual audits.
- Provide supporting analysis and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
You possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business related field is preferred
- 7+ years AR experience in a corporate environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven aptitude for systems; intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with mid-market/enterprise systems

This position will work on a Hybrid schedule, coming into the Reston, VA, office twice a week (typically Mondays & Thursdays, subject to change). When working remotely, you must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management skills, and be highly organized in an environment where shifting priorities are the norm. A reliable internet connection is a must!

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy that includes base salary in addition to our full suite of comprehensive benefits ( ACR's goal is to pay competitively and equitably. It is typical for individuals to be hired in the entry to middle of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on each case's circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the hourly compensation range is $27.00-$36.00.
