DISTRIBUTION CENTER MANAGER
Epic Personnel Partners is hiring a Distribution Center Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center in alignment with the company’s financial and operational goals. This role is responsible for executing and overseeing strategic operational plans to ensure optimal efficiency, productivity, and compliance across all departments within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan the layout of the warehouse and storage areas based on product turnover, size, weight, and other storage-related factors.
- Oversee financial reporting and budget management for the warehouse.
- Develop and implement production and operational plans to support warehouse performance objectives.
- Provide guidance to employees on proper care, storage, handling, and shipment of inventory, including equipment use and best practices.
- Analyze inventory records to identify and recommend corrective actions for non-usable, excess, or slow-moving stock.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in recordkeeping and monitor stock levels for adequacy.
- Plan and coordinate special and routine inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and propose solutions to resolve stock control issues.
- Establish work procedures, prepare schedules, and manage workflow to meet operational goals.
- Issue clear written and verbal instructions and assign responsibilities to staff.
- Review employee performance for accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and standardize procedures to improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment, resolve conflicts, and address employee concerns promptly.
- Handle employee issues, resolve errors, and respond to complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Directly supervise 4–12 departmental managers who oversee supervisors managing teams of 50–100 employees across multiple departments.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of warehouse units.
- Execute managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, employee development, and operational planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred and/or equivalent experience (3–5 years in a related field).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams across all organizational levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of distribution center operations and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and solve complex problems.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Pay: $88,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
