$125,000 per year

Responsibilities of Respiratory Director:

• Perform chest examinations on a range of patients
• Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
• Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment
• Perform exams and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity/alkalinity
• Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
• Connect patient who can't breathe to a ventilator
• Educate patients and families on how to use equipment and medications
• Regularly monitor both patients and equipment
• 3 years' experience

Qualifications for Respiratory Director:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Current state licensure
• Experience with Trach Care and Ventilator Management in skilled nursing home, LTACH or hospital setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with residents and families
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• 5 years' experience in respiratory therapy
