Kitchen Manager - Casual Dining High Volume

NextGen Hospitality Solutions is currently seeking a Kitchen Manager for our high-volume casual dining establishment in Newport News. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to lead culinary operations in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, focusing on delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
As a Kitchen Manager, you will oversee day-to-day kitchen activities, managing a talented team of culinary professionals and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene. You will play a crucial role in menu development, cost control, and maintaining an efficient kitchen workflow, contributing significantly to the success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen operations and staff schedules
- Ensure food quality, safety, and hygiene standards are met
- Oversee inventory management and food costing
- Develop and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients
- Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff for optimal performance
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless operations
- Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations
- Implement and maintain kitchen efficiency systems
- Resolve kitchen-related issues and improve team dynamics
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in kitchen management, preferably in high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in inventory and cost management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Understanding of health and safety regulations within the restaurant industry
