Our work depends on a Systems Engineer Expert joining our team to design, implement and support Microsoft 365 Teams, Unified Communication Collaboration services, Voice, telephony and related emerging technologies to service, protect and secure GDIT’s position in the marketplace. HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT● Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
- The candidate will collaborate with others to ensure the availability, accessibility, functionality and optimization of Voice solutions and Microsoft Teams for GDIT
- Support deployment of M365 infrastructure as required
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of voice/collaboration systems
- Lead, mentor and guide more junior engineers and/or team members in technical expertise
- Work with current staff to support updates, deployments and M365 users
- Handle technical related escalations from system administrators and project staff
- Understand and support the end user experience through service desk coordination and enablement of request and restoration activities
- Participate in discussions to coordinate integration and migration planning
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or 4+ additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
● Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Strong background in telecommunications, networking, and voice communication technologies. Prior Experience supporting Microsoft Teams and hands-on experience supporting solutions with Microsoft Azure AD and AD Connect,
● Security Clearance Level: preferred but not required
● Required Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and management skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Experience with the design, installation or support of Unified Communications (UC), VoIP, SIP, PSTN telephony solutions , Experience with hardware and software testing, integration, installation, configuration and problem solving, especially for Windows 11 clients and Windows Servers,
● Preferred Skills: Telecom Session Boarder Controller (SBC), Proficient with PowerShell, Graph and other scripting skills used to automate processes and reporting,
● Location: Must be able to go into the Falls Church, VA office 3+ times a week
