Back Crew Laborer
- Transferring eggs from incubators to hatchers;
- Ensuring the initial pull of hatched poults from the hatchers to forward to the Service Room;
- Assisting as needed with the count of poults hatched;
- Assisting as needed in all departments as needed to keep production running;
- Preparing the pull order for the following day;
- Running and monitoring the tray washer;
- Cleaning and disinfecting racks and hatchers with appropriate chemicals;
- Assisting maintenance with unloading deliveries of supplies;
- Lifting crates or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds;
- Pushing or pulling up to 150lbs. with assistance;
- Following all animal welfare and biosecurity protocols and procedures of the department during production.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times;
- High School diploma is preferred;
- Prior experience with animals or hatchery preferred;
- Ability to communicate verbally and listening with others - Bilingual Spanish speaking ability desired;
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment;
- Ability to perform job duties while wearing Personal Protective Equipment required of the position.
