Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar setting. License: Active RN license required, pending license accepted only under specific conditions. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration. Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support. Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Experience in telemetry and stepdown-level care. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to float between various units. The nurse must be comfortable working in all PCU and MS settings. The contract involves three 12-hour shifts from evening until morning. The role requires EPIC charting experience. Staffing needs will be re-evaluated every four hours, and the nurse may float multiple times within a shift. The weekend commitment may include working every other weekend or six weekend shifts over a six-week period. The nurse is required to work one holiday during the 13-week contract. The unit typically operates under a patient ratio of 5:1 for PCU and 6:1 for MS. The facility is recognized for its excellence in nursing. The environment supports a range of interdisciplinary specialties. The position includes managing complex patient care needs effectively and efficiently. All requests for time off must be provided upfront during the submission process. Active participation in patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential.
