Job Description
Join our team as a Welder in a pre-fabrication shop, where you will be integral in welding together frames for modular units. This role requires expertise in MIG welding and fluxcore welding on steel, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints. All welding is typically flat or horizontal, with occasional vertical welding.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and fluxcore welding on steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
- Control AMP and tolerances to produce clean, strong welds.
- Cut materials accurately using a tape measure.
- Finish welds using a grinder.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and fluxcore welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, math, and measuring skills.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Capability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- TIG/Stick welding experience preferred.
- Ability to fit is preferred.
- Own basic hand tools and know their proper use.
- Experience with wire diagrams and written instructions.

Work Environment
You will be working in a fast-paced, repetitive, and construction-related pre-fabrication shop. Safety is a priority, requiring steel toe boots and safety glasses at all times. The dress code includes long pants and a t-shirt. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with two shifts: 6am-4:30pm and 4pm-2am. Some weekends may be required with prior notice. A 30-minute lunch break is provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
