About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer or Engineer to join our team and contribute to technically challenging and diverse projects. In this role, you will apply your expertise in plumbing and mechanical systems design to support large-scale building and utility infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Reports to: Board of Directors, Principal, or Market Sector Leader

Key Responsibilities

• Apply all conventional aspects of engineering within the functional area of assignment.
• Exercise professional judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Develop the initial design approach for major phases of large facility projects or assume overall responsibility for mechanical engineering work.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering activities throughout project lifecycles.
• Supervise project design and monitor ongoing progress, including coordination with city, state, and county officials as well as other outside agencies.
• Resolve complex design and coordination challenges.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Review and prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Participate in bidding and construction administration; observe project progress on-site as needed.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to junior engineers and technical support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4–10 years of systems design experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
