Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the estimating process for concrete-related projects, focusing on industrial and commercial sectors. You will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting. Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates for concrete projects.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for concrete materials and labor.
- Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to understand project requirements and site conditions.
- Provide budgeting estimates based on project scope and historical costs.
- Maintain a database of materials and associated costs to support estimating accuracy.
- Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure competitive pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site assessments as required.
- Proven experience as a concrete estimator in the industrial or commercial construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction processes, materials, and estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with structural concrete, foundations, and anchor bolt layouts.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, particularly Bluebeam.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
