Job Title: Receiving Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing and processing incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and products, and maintaining accurate records using ERP systems and Excel tools. The position requires proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and operating forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and products promptly.
• Schedule pickups with freight companies using phone or digital portals.
• Receive, sort, label packages, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
• Perform inventory counts, spot/cycle count warehouse inventory, and investigate discrepancies.
• Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of goods, paperwork, and work area.
• Continuously build job knowledge through the execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in team performance and improvement meetings and adhere to company policies.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move products within the facility.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel for inventory tracking.
• Experience with both shipping and receiving functions, with a focus on receiving.
• Attention to detail for managing paperwork with fine print.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve inventory-related problems.
• Stand-up forklift operating experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with WMS, RF scanners, SAP, and FedEx systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Completion of forklift recertification and an 8-hour training session.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and climate-controlled, requiring steel toe shoes, long pants, and a plain t-shirt, with safety glasses provided. The warehouse is adjacent to the production area, fostering a collaborative team culture.

Shift: 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday (possible mandatory overtime)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
