Position Summary

Avum seeks a skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems and services for organizations, ensuring their scalability, reliability, and security.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and recommend integrated cloud system solutions
• Perform duties on tasks that require expertise in cloud implementation, scripting, configuration, installations, networking and cloud security design
• Scripting in perl, python or bas
• Perform application performance monitoring for cloud technologies (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Cacti, New Relic).

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship with active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
• Ability to be onsite 100% in Chantilly, VA in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ Years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, Lamda, etc.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud platform technologies and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) implementation.
• 3+ years of Linux admin experience.
• Detailed understanding of core network protocols and services (TCP/IP, REST/SOAP, FTPS/SFTP, DNS, SSL, firewalls and load balancers).
• Active cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architecture, SysOps or Developer.
• Active security certifications: Security + or DoD IAT Level 11.
